Definition of Report text

“Report is a text which presents information about something, as it is. It is as a result of systematic observation and analyses”.

Generic Structure of Report text
# General Clasification ; Stating classification of general aspect of thing; animal, public place, plant, etc which will be discussed in general
# Description : tells what the phenomenon under discussion ; in terms of parts, qualities, habits or behaviors.

Purpose of Report text
Its social purpose is presenting information about something. They generally describe an entire class of things, whether natural or made: mammals, the planets, rocks, plants, countries of region, culture, transportation, and so on.

The Characteristics / Language Feature of Report text:
– Use of general nouns, eg hunting dogs, rather than particular nouns, eg our dog;
– Use of relating verbs to describe features, eg Molecules are tiny particles;
– Some use of action verbs when describing behaviour, eg Emus cannot fly;
– Use of timeless present tense to indicate usualness, eg Tropical cyclones always begin over the sea;
– Use of technical terms, eg Isobars are lines drawn on a weather map;
– Use of paragraphs with topic sentences to organise bundles of information; repeated naming of the topic as the beginning focus of the clause

South Africa

South Africa is located in southern hemisphere between Atlantic and Indian oceans. The area is 1 1/4 million square kilometres. South Africa has central Plateu (or’veld) with mountains to the south and east. Dramatic coasline and many beaches can found at south end.

The climate is warm, temperate and dry. It happened because 65% of the country has less than 50 cm rainfall a year.

There are several Tourist attractions in South Africa such as mountains and fabulous beaches. Vineyard is the main tourist attraction and near with wildlife reserves (e.g kruger National Park – 147 mamal species, 43- bird species). In capital of South Affrica you’d fell the culture of the country that is in cape town.

Many destination in South Africa made tourism as a major industry which increased the profit for this country. It affects reducing social problems such as hunger, poverty and unemployment. Social welfare depends on finding a light.

Welbeing was on the rise, but crime was on the rise. Frequent criminal activities in parts of South Africa have had to be watched by visiting tourist. But don’t be too afraid, because security in places where crime is often reinforced. So let’s have fun and enjoy visiting this country.
